Dynamical Symmetries and Nambu Mechanics
نویسنده
چکیده
It is shown that several Hamiltonian systems possessing dynamical or hidden symmetries can be realized within the framework of Nambu’s generalized mechanics. Among such systems are the SU(n)-isotropic harmonic oscillator and the SO(4)-Kepler problem. As required by the formulation of Nambu dynamics, the integrals of motion for these systems necessarily become the so-called generalized Hamiltonians. Furthermore, in most of these problems, the definition of these generalized Hamiltonians is not unique. e-mail: [email protected]

Direct Hamiltonization for Nambu Systems
The direct hamiltonization procedure applied to Nambu mechanical systems proves that the Nambu mechanics is an usual mechanics described by only one Hamiltonian. Thus a particular case of Hamiltonian mechanics. It is also proved that any dynamical system described by the equation ~̇r = ~ A(~r) is a Nambu system.
متن کاملThe Nambu-Jona Lasinio mechanism and electroweak symmetry breaking in the Standard Model
In this paper I examine the breaking of internal symmetries from another point of view showing that is possible to reproduce the electroweak panorama of the traditional Standard Model in a exhaustive and self consistent way. The result is reached applying the main futures of the old Nambu-Jona Lasinio (NJL) mechanism to an electroweak invariant Lagrangian. In this context the use of functional ...
متن کاملOn Lie point symmetries in mechanics
We present some remarks on the existence and the properties of Lie point symmetries of nite dimensional dynamical systems expressed either in Newton-Lagrange or in Hamilton form. We show that the only Lie symmetries admitted by Newton-Lagrange-type problems are essentially linear symmetries, and construct the most general problem admitting such a symmetry. In the case of Hamilton problems, we d...
متن کاملAutonomous Dynamical Systems, Explicitly Time Dependent First Integrals, and Gradient Systems
Note that the system also admits the independent first integral (c12u1− c23u3)/2, and the dynamical system can be reconstructed using Nambu mechanics. If c 6= 0, then I1, I2 are not first integrals anymore. Now many dissipative dynamical systems such as the Lorenz model and the Rikitake-two disc dynamo admit, depending on the bifurcation parameters, explicitly time-dependent first integrals. Th...
